PCMCA - Pacific Coast Masters Curling Association

The PCMCA works together with the BCIMCA (BC Interior Masters Curling Association) to support and promote Masters club curling throughout the province. The PCMCA has for many years provided support to clubs to advertise and promote masters bonspiels and developed competitions known as the Guy Philps Trophy for male curlers 60 years and older and the Graham Donaldson Trophy for male curlers 70 years and older.

**New**   Mixed competition and Women's competition is now included at the Combined Provincial Playdowns.

These competitions have been developed to give ALL 60+ regular club curlers, including stick curlers, an opportunity to compete against masters curlers from all parts of the province at the Provincial Combined Playoffs.

The cost of participating in these competitions is considerably less than Curl BC playdowns and some funds are provided to PCMCA members to help with the expenses of zone winners to the Provincial Combined Playoffs.

Provincial playoffs are hosted in alternate years by each association.

In 2017, the Provincial Combined Master's Playoffs was hosted by the Langley and Cloverdale Curling Clubs March 15 -18, 2017.

In 2018, the Provincial Combined Master's Playoffs was hosted by the Kamloops Curling Club March 21 -24, 2018.

For information about registering for PCMCA Playoffs watch for posted information on the bulletin boards at the club or contact Terry Miller, PCMCA Rep for Parksville Curling Club.

The PCMCA is divided into 4 Zones (Southern Vancouver Island, Vancouver Island from Nanaimo north, Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley). Teams from all clubs are invited in November to register teams at the club level to compete in zone playoffs held in January. A winner from each zone in each category is declared to compete at the provincial level against teams from each zone in the PCMCA and in the BCIMCA. At the provincial playoffs, results from games between PCMCA zone winners determine the trophy winners. Game results from games played against teams from each of the 4 BCIMCA zones are used to determine an overall provincial champion in each category.
